Our Minibar Colchester event.

15 Queen Street

To all those who attended last Thursdays Minibar Colchester Event. We wanted to say thank you for coming in to see us - we hope you enjoyed yourself, it was great to see your smiley face.

For those who didn’t attend (and for the tasty links for those who did)…

The evening began with drinks at the two kiosks at Colchester bus station. Kate Hawkins opened the night giving us an update on firstsite’s new building.

Ben Howard of Keep Colchester Cool and Cool Publicity thanked and reflected on the first ever (and successful) Colchester Free! Festival. The Hidden Kiosk Project was opened and introduced by Marc De’ath head of Creative Coop. He got us all thinking and conjuring up ideas for what we would submit to open up our own shop, space or concept. For more info on the Hidden Kiosk Project go here!

Back at 15 Queen Street we had a taster of the projects and process of taking on empty shops and spaces with Meanwhile Space’s Eddie Bridgeman. The night was fun, relaxed with some inspiration talks. A great Minibar Colchester!

Our next event is the Open Cinema on the 14th October.

We hope to see you there. Thanks for your continued support and don’t forget we need your support so if not already please sign up as a member today here.
