This weekend artist Tim Skinner invites you to Cuckoo Farm Studios for a special art sale. Tim is currently undertaking a sound commission for the ICA (nominated by firstsite), and will be showing work in The Houses of Parliament during the Olympics. He will also be artist in resident at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for three months next year.
After spending over eight years at the studios, Tim officially left in February. He’s back this weekend for one last time. Join him to say farewell, find out his developments, get a chance to own a piece of his work and enjoy a glass of wine.
Call for artists!
Local artist Paula MacGregor is looking for artists who would like to run a creative workshop for Slack Space.
They cannot offer any payment but may be able to help with the materials. Artists are invited to host three hour workshops for adults during the daytime, evening, or at the weekend. Whatever suits you.
Paula is the workshop co-ordinator and can help and advise you. If you have a craft skill but have not run a workshop before, this could be the perfect place to start. Paula will support you as much as you need it!
Contact Paula via email if you can offer anything. Some requests and suggestions are: batik, carving, printing, scrapbooking…. or maybe you can do something they haven’t thought of!

Our resident photographer Jonathan Doyle showed us this video of his friend Mandii Pope’s recent solo exhibition at Cork Street Gallery in London. An artist with “guts and determination”, her work ranges from emotive spin paintings, ‘Best of British’ portraits, abstract paintings, nudes, to cityscapes. Phew! This video really captures Mandii and her work.
