Colchester Digital is a Meetup group for individuals and businesses in and around the area from the digital sector. Their members are developers, designers, digital image and video specialists, photographers, marketers, PR, social media and SEO experts, and everything between.
Colchester Digital Meetups include speakers, trainers, show & tell events and workshops on various aspects of the internet and associated industries. This Thursday they are hosting their Speaker event. Marc De’ath from Creative Coop will be taking the floor to talk about one of his latest projects; Community Knowledge Transfer in Lyme Regis.
He will explain how they worked with Lyme Regis Development Trust in partnership with Locality. Collaborated with friends Guifi.net, The Buckland Club and The Natural History Museum to install the UK’s largest open network. Helping 15,000 visitors to explore UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast during this years Fossil Festival.
The Creative Coop have been working to help five UK based, Third Sector organisations investigate how they could utilise digital technology to generate new income streams at a time when funding and other revenue is being cut.

Colchester Digital is a Meetup group for individuals and businesses in and around the Colchester area. They have been active for over 8 months now hosting meet ups once a month (on a Thursday) at various locations in and around the Colchester area.
They get together to share knowledge, experience and information, and where possible to collaborate on a wider scale. It’s essentially a group of like-minded people who want to grow a bigger and better foundation for the digital community in Colchester.
Spanning the digital sectors, their members are developers, designers, digital image and video specialists, photographers, marketers, PR, social media and SEO experts, and everything between.The group welcomes freelancers, graduates, experts, professionals and anybody who feels that they could gain from the group, or add something to it. If you feel you could hop along to their meetup group to become part of this new digital community, gain info all their events and easily RSVP.
Please note that you can join the group even if you are unable to attend a Meetup or event. The group pages allow for interaction with other members and for dialogue to occur, and your suggestions on future Meetups or events are more than welcome. There are no expectations if you join, all we ask is that you give us your feedback and input your ideas when you can.
They hold their Speaker event here every three months. Join us at fifteen Queen Street to meet the members of Colchester Digital and learn more from an inspirational creative group in the digital sector. Their previous speaker event had Stuart Hammersley from Give Up Art. So you know it’ll be good.

Colchester Digital is a Meetup group for individuals and businesses in and around the Colchester area. We are pleased to announce we will now be the host for the fellow meet up group who specialise more on the digital side of life. Holding an event this Wednesday they will then continue to host speaker events every 2nd Thursday 4 times a year. They host other events around town from social meet ups to show and tell events. Simply join the group to learn more and get involved.

The speaker event this Wednesday will be Give Up Art’s Stuart Hammersley talking about his recent work, including the Official Chart Company and music label Tempa.
Give Up Art (site currently being redeveloped) is a graphic design studio, formed in October 2006 by Stuart and Emma Hammersley. Producing bold, effective design and communications for clients both large and small – they’ve achieved a growing international reputation for their music design work – with clients such as Tempa, Rinse FM, Apple Pips, Bleep.com, FWD», Bloc Music Festival. As well as working with clients in the publishing, advertising, travel and broadcast sectors; advertising agencies and production companies, working across print, motion and digital.

Colchester Digital are a meetup group for local individuals and businesses. They cater to the digital

The group welcomes freelancers, graduates, experts, professionals and anybody who feels that they could gain from the group, or add something to it.
Join them for their meetup this Wednesday where we will throw the floor open to all members to pitch their ideas and/or showcase their products and services. You don’t have to pitch if you attend and are welcome to just come and listen and network etc.
If you want to pitch, please post to the groups message board on their meetup page and the organisers will schedule a time slot for you.
Everyone will get 5 minutes (or thereabouts) to talk to the group and each session will be followed by a quick Q&A. A great opportunity to share yours thoughts and ideas, or just to promote your services and products to a wider audience of businesses and individuals from the digital sectors.
