Robinson @ the Minories

Matthew Bowman, lecturer at Colchester Institute has curated an exhibition at the Minories Art Gallery opening tonight.

Join him for a the private view from 6pm to 8pm.

The exhibition showcases work by Robinson, a local artist from 1910-1986. He worked in modernist art styles and joined the RAF during the second world war. A prolific artist working whatever materials he had to hand, this is a large scale exhibition that aims to be something of a giant sketchbook/diary rather than taking an overly selective approach to his oeuvre.

The exhibition runs until 15th October, so if you can’t make it down tonight take time out to enjoy it over the month.
