Film Colchester is a film makers network dedicated to film making. They’re based in Colchester and welcome anyone with an interest in anything to do with making films.
They meet here at fifteen Queen Street fortnightly to discuss film making, collaborate on projects and watch local film makers shorts.
This week film Colchester have a guest speaker who’ll be coming along to show one of their films and talk about the making of it. Short film teams will have time to chat about their projects.
They’ll also be catching up on several group and members personal projects and looking ahead to the weekends ‘Film Shoot Sunday’ event.
Join them Sunday afternoon for their monthly meet up. The idea of this event is that they simply meetup and make some films. Throughout the day they’ll require actors, writers, film makers and anyone who wants to get involved and whatever your skill level your welcome to come along.
Production teams are still flexible so it’s not too late to be involved so please get in touch or join them at the next meeting.
On Thursday 27th October 2011 Colchester Circle magazine celebrated it’s one year anniversary with a big celebration at 15 Queen Street.
We teamed up with our resident members to present our usual networking event - Creative in Colchester, but this time celebrating this superb local magazine. Members of the building, contributors, supports and friends were invited to enjoy music, drinks and a talk from the people behind the magazine - Ana and Howard.
Film Colchester are a growing film makers network and they we invited to document the evening. View a video that not only captures the night but has some great interviews with the people behind Colchester Circle and 15 Queen Street.
To all those who came thanks again for making it the perfect celebration for a fantastic magazine.
Our next Creative in Colchester is Thursday 25th where we will be presenting a print themed bonanza. We will be joined by local letterpress printer Justin Knott known as Typroetum, and the Essex Print Club. Both will be talking about what they do and their passion for print. Win prints in our classic tombola and enjoy music from resident DJ Cantcutcarwyn and our special acoustic act - Snippet.
This is now members or invite only. If you would like to come and find out more about our membership please talk to Alex.
